First Look: The Faiz to end all Faiz's

Tamashii Collector's Super Real Heroes Volume.1 Kamen Rider Faiz (that's a mouthful) is pretty much the biggest Faiz figure ever. Well, perhaps "statue" is a more accurate term. Or "decoration"? "Lamp" even. This big guy clocks in at 60 cm, is accuarate down to the last detail (having even been made using a body scan from the real suit actor) and has a whopping 192 LEDs in him so, yes, he lights up just like the real Faiz.

And he ain't cheap: nearly $800 US. He comes out next year, so start saving now!

Rider Haiku with Mr. J

Kamen Rider Faiz's very own master of disaster (and the only Lucky Clover member who ever seemed to get anything done) is actually very poetic for a guy who usually says little more than two words at any given time. I don't know how closely he stuck to the 5-7-5 rule, but then again, it's Mr. J. He can do what he wants.

The Faiz that never was?

Everybody (well, let's assume everybody) knows what the logo for Kamen Rider Faiz looks like. If you need a refresher, it's right here on the official TV-Asahi site.

So then, what the heck is this?

It clearly says "FAIZU", but it looks quite different from the actual logo. So is it an unused design, elaborate fanart, or part of some massive SMART BRAIN™©® conspiracy? You decide!

A Blast from the Past

If you've seen and read my report of the Osaka Super Chara Dome event earlier this year, here's something interesting I stumbled across recently: a play-by-play of the same stage show back when Kamen Rider Faiz was on. Riders appearing included Faiz, Kaixa, Delta, Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki, Knight, Zolda, and Ouja, as well as two stage-show originals, "Dark Rider" and "Dark Slasher", who may look vaguely familiar. There's also a bunch of recycled villains, and a new one who turns into the requsite "giant puppet thingy" that all the big stage shows seem to have at the end. Pretty neat, but be advised, there's a lot of pictures, so if you're on a slower connection it might take a while.
