Now Celebrating Over 100 Posts!

Since its launch in November of 2006, the IKRP Official Blog, also known as IKRB (a continuation of my inability to come up with anything that doesn't begin with "Igadevil's Kamen Rider ----") has enjoyed immense success, due in large part to everyone who reads and/or comments, as well as the seemingly-insane drive to deliver quality Kamen Rider-related content on a daily basis, no matter how entertaining or/and useless. But let's be honest here, the biggest reason for the success? Me. But after that, it's you, so I just want to take a moment to say "Thanks" and give a Kuuga-style thumbs-up.

Originally, the blog idea came about because it would be an easier way to gets news and such out on a more regular basis. While I admit getting it updated every day has been a challenge (and, as you've probably seen, sometimes entries don't show up until long after they were originally posted for some reason or another) it's also a lot of fun. In the coming days, weeks, months, and maybe- just maybe- years, I hope the blog will grow and become as popular and well-known as the main site itself, which isn't too shabby for a web page that's not even half-finished.

And now, a brief recap of the highs and slightly-lower highs:

11/06/06- IKRB launches! Well it actually launched the day before that, but the first entry got accidentally junked, a sign of things to come.

11/09/06- The first of many posts about H.G.C.O.R.E. vol. 1, which I still have yet to get.

11/13/06- The first-ever IKRB Guest Column, and probably the most sane. I am also reminded now that I still need to finish the Shin, ZO & J pages.

11/14/06- Yours truly tackles the difficult job of dissecting the Riders' tumultuous romantic happenings without also feeling like a total softie.

11/17/06- The Kamen Rider Villain Supremo, The Great Leader, gets a play-by-play.

11/19/06- The first of many Kamen Rider Kabuto (now Den-O) Reviews draws praise for explaining key plot points and serves as a painful reminder of a time when Nogi was too cool for school.

11/24/06- Kamen Rider Den-O was revealed on this very blog! Well okay, he was actually revealed everywhere else and then I mentioned it on this very blog, but come on- I'm not the one who goes diving in Toei's dumpster on a weekly basis, okay?

11/27/06- The very first Ask the Experts draws an unprecedented 13 comments, makes the front page at Henshin Justice Unlimited, and proves that people really do like seeing TheBee Zecter spazzing out.

12/01/06- The very first Battle Fight. Hey, we're due for another one of those soon.

12/25/06~1/20/07- Aside from a Very Special Emergency Update, IKRB takes a break while I fly off to Japan. And again, I still need to get all those pictures & videos up. This month people, this month.

1/25/07- With the series now over, Kamen Rider Kabuto immediately either gets healthy servings of Heavenly Praise heaped upon it by legions of loyal fans, or torn to pieces by the dispossessed, the anti-Tendôites (yeah, I don't know how you'd pronounce that either) and the pre-show Den-O fan brigade already tired of all the "Rider Boob-face" jokes. But at IKRB, it's all about TheBee Zecter's bizarre journey from Cool New Rider Henshin Item to Attention-Deficient Purposeless Bug Thang. Well, I guess you could say I liked the show too.

2/05/07- Apparently, I really am the only one who gets excited when the hot new rumors... are about the next High Grade set.

2/14/07- Junko Unleashed!

2/16/07- This time, I believe I really did break the news first! Of course, nobody was on the Internet that day.

3/05/07~3/09/07- I admittedly phone it in for a week archiving old reviews. But hey, better to do it now and get it over with than not. Um... I think.

And where do we go from here? This week will see a bit of a variety on Monday & Tuesday, and Wednsday~Friday are a 3-part Special of... well, you'll see. And after that... again, you'll see.

Fairly soon, I'll be making even clearer the details of the upcoming First-Ever Igadevil's Kamen Rider Page Contest, which, just to give you a hint, is Kamen Rider Sigma-related. And Fan Art-related. So if you're thinking of doing Kamen Rider Sigma Fan Art... WAIT! Hold onto those ideas for a couple weeks, until the official rules & details come out. And maybe, just maybe, you'll be one of the lucky few to score some neat Rider prizes, including toys, cards, magazines, and for the grand prize... a one-of-a-kind piece of Rider history. For real.
