Den-O Episode #7: "Jealousy Bomber"

I hit the 100 post mark the other night, and what better way to celebrate than- wait, what's this? A new episode of Den-O? And not just any new episode...

...but possibly one of the most insane episodes of Kamen Rider ever made?

The Spoiler Warning starts now.

Our love is eternal

An exhausted Ryôtarô is at the Milk Dipper with Airi and a couple of those guys who have nothing better to do than sit around looking at her all day. While he enjoys a large dinner, Hana yells at Momotaros & Urataros because that's pretty much what she'll probably do for the rest of the series, at least until we find out her brother made all the Imagin in a mirror or that she's Ryôtarô's real sister or something like that. In any case, Momotaros tries to talk tough to Urataros, staking his claim as the Senpai here, but the blue Imagin has plans of his own. Momotaros' coffee just happens to wind up drugged, and Ryôtarô just happens to get possessed again, and turn into the suave UraRyôtarô, who, within seconds of hitting the town at night, is swamped with girls.

The next morning, Ryôtarô awakens in an unfamiliar room. It belongs to Yumi (Kurihara Hitomi of Ryuki/Faiz fame), and it doesn't take Ryôtarô long to figure out what happened.

Um...

Yeah, I know.

Well, at the very least, he has pictures on his cell phone of UraRyôtarô's partying last night (relax, it's strictly G-rated.) He leaves in a rush, taking a nasty spill down the stairs, while Yumi watches on, confused. Someone else is watching on as well: a guy named Tomoya, who flips out at the sight of Ryôtarô scrambling out of Yumi's apartment. In the process, our main man drops his wallet, which Tomoya retrieves.

Back in her apartment, Yumi becomes the newest target for the Imagin.

On the Den-Liner, Momotaros & Urataros are having another big rumble as a result of Urataros' deception. Other passengers (who are they, anyway?) and even Hana get into the action, and before long the Owner shows up threatening to start booting people off (he even has a card that says, in English, "you can't take a denliner!") so the Imagin settle down. The Owner then continues his quest to become Riku 2.0 ("SPORTS, eh?") Ryôtarô decides to let Momotaros take him out for a spin (I know, that sounds wrong, we're just going to have to get used to it) to let him blow off some steam.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORTS

Meanwhile, the new Crow Imagin is eliminating people randomly...or is he? There's a musical connection between them all. Fortunately, it doesn't take long for MomoRyôtarô to bump into the Kaijin-of-the-week, and a brief fight between Den-O & the monster ensues. Everybody gets away fairly unscathed.

Den-O vs. the Crow

Our hero then gets a call from Airi to return to the Milk Dipper. Tomoya is there, thanks to looking through Ryôtarô's wallet, Miura arrives, and that's about where everything starts going completely to Hell.

Yumi has a flashback to her meeting with Crow Imagin, but is convinced she was dreaming.

This can't end well...

Tomoya is pretty nutters, and when Ryôtarô shows up, things go from bad to worse. It turns out Tomoya is Yumi's ex, and in the best scene in the episode, he punches RYOOOOOOOO-CHAAAAAAAAN out. Momotaros attempts to intervene and fight back as MomoRyôtarô, but Ryôtarô stops him and tries to settle matters peacefully.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ozaki "witnesses" another victim of Crow Imagin, and is soon on his way to the Milk Dipper, where Ryôtarô is trying unsuccessfully to explain how he ended up at Yumi's place. Not having much of an idea himself, he finds himself at a loss for words when Ozaki arrives and makes the situation worse. Tomoya totally flips out, and reveals he has what everyone else assumes is A BOMB OMG HE'S GOT A BOMB, PEOPLE! He orders Ryôtarô to bring Yumi there, and our hero quickly obliges. This is all played for laughs of course, but I couldn't help but again be reminded of a similar situation in Kamen Rider Blade involving Hajime. Next week: Ryôtarô loses his memory and becomes a Takoyaki vendor!

Ryôtarô runs into Yumi, who has run into Crow Imagin reminding her of the contract. Ryôtarô gives chase to the woman, but the Kaijin intervenes, so he transforms to Den-O Sword Form.

Crow Imagin

But the monster's ability to fly and shoot deadly exploding feathers give him a clear advantage, and Den-O finds himself overwhelmed...

Get back here!

To Be Continued...

Okay, now that that's out of the way, swing by tomorrow for the celebration of 100+ posts, and maybe a surprise or two.
