After this, just one more episode to go It's almost the climax! Big Spoilers ahead!
Kamen Rider Den-O Episode #48 "Opposite Parting..." (The title is Urahara Na Wakare, with "URAhara" also being a play on Urataros' nickname "Ura")
Zeronos (Zero Form) and Deneb fight the Imagin army, who retreat. Deneb asks if Yuuto is okay, but he runs off. Together, they find an unconcious Airi. Kai looks on, disturbed by the unseen outcome of his encounter with Airi.
On the Den-Liner, our heroes mourn the loss of Kintaros. Ryôtarô looks longingly at his empty seat. Even Ryuutaros is upset. Only Momotaros tries to maintain himself, but soon he and Urataros begin to sizzle away as Kintaros had. Momo tries to tell Ryôtarô not to worry about it. Urataros, alone, notices that several Mole Imagin are onboard and have put a bomb onto the Den-Bird cockpit. He bumbles in and confronts them, and they threaten him, only to have him reveal that he's decided it's time he "returned".
At the Den-Liner station, the Owner & Station Master are still eating rice. Do they even realize what's going on in the rest of the show?
Onboard the Den-Liner, our heroes are suddenly all shaken up. Ryuutaros observes that the train has jumped the tracks. Urataros enters, with his Mole Imagin friends behind him. Momotaros is disturbed by this sudden betrayal. The train crash-lands in 1/9/2007, and our heroes are knocked out. Despite this, the regular Imagin all have a solid form and can exist outside the train. Urataros reveals that he was planning this betrayal all along! Momotaros & Ryuutaros get really ticked off, and even Naomi can't believe it.
Kai looks incredibly upset, and has a total breakdown. His meeting with Airi did not go as planned at all. Rather, he discovered a whole new element to the puzzle. From within him, the Death Imagin emerges. "Crush everything...crush it!" Kai commands his Imagin counterpart.
Yuuto is with Airi at the hospital. The rest of our heroes are camped out in an alleyway. Naomi laments being unable to return to work and make the coffee, since it was basically her whole life. "And Ura-chan was always so nice to women..."
Ryuutaros breaks down, wondering why Kin is gone, why Ura is acting weird, and Momo just starts kicking stuff. Ryôtarô reminds everyone not to forget all the good that Urataros did together with them. "Therefore, we shouldn't worry."
Ryôtarô points out the date, and Kohana realizes they are now at a point before Airi ever forgot anything, 1 year ago. Perhaps not all is lost...
On board the Den-Liner, the Moles are making a mess of the place, and start demanding Urataros show them how to use the train so they can start tooling around time & space. Urataros reminds them that one needs a pass to control the Den-Liner, but says he knows where to get one.
Kohana tries figure out what they're going to do as they arrive at Milk Dipper. They find the past Ryôtarô and Airi have an argument about her "new family" with Sakurai, and Ryôtarô storms out. Ryôtarô goes to talk to his past self, who talks about Airi & Sakurai's desire to have a baby (and the implication that they might have already gotten a start on that.) The past Ryôtarô falls unconcious from this encounter, so the present Ryôtarô takes his clothes and goes back to talk with Airi.
In the present, Yuuto senses an Imagin and rushes out. Sure enough, Imagin are everywhere! Deneb shows up to fight them off. Yuuto transforms into Zero Form. The Death Imagin arrives and challenges him, but leaves as soon as he arrives.
Kai, more unbalanced than ever, prepares for his final, devastating attack...
Zero Form finds Death Imagin and goes against him one-on-one, but gets beaten badly.
Airi reveals that she is not only aware of the Imagin and the older Sakurai's role, but that they seek a means to defend her unborn child against the Imagin. She reveals that she knows her kid will the same as Ryôtarô, a Sigularity Point. So Airi knew everything all along apparently. Except when she forgot. Why isn't she pregnant later though? I dunno, but I think what Kai discovered between this and the last episode when he stuck his hand in that vortex in her tummy was what we just learned. I think I'm going to need to watch this one again.
The Mole Imagin confront the rest of the good guys in the alley way, and Urataros is there too. He and Momo have a stare down, and then go at it once again. Naomi works out that all three of the Mole Imagin are there... so nobody's on the Den-Liner.
A shaken Ryôtarô realizes that everything that has transpired may all be for the sake of "his new family", and then the Den-Liner shows up. Momo & Ura are still going at it, when the Den-Liner arrives. Ryôtarô tells everyone to get on. Momo throws Ura back to the Moles and jumps aboard. One Mole holds out the bomb
controller, which Ura grabs from him... and activates!
But nothing happens. He dismantled the bomb. Momo realizes the truth. Ura fights with the Moles. It was a big trick all along! Ryôtarô is about to transform and help out, but Ura takes the belt from him and transforms himself. He then fights the Moles as Rod Form, and defeats one with a Rider Kick. However, he stays behing as the train leaves, throwing the belt and Rider Pass back to Ryôtarô. Momotaros tries to stop the train. Urataros fights wih the other two Kaijin, all the while continuing to fizzle away. Ryôtarô is saddened at another loss, and Ryuutaros breaks down crying. Even Momotaros mourns this one. More Mole Imagin show up, but Urataros dives into battle with them.
Meanwhile, Deneb is still kicking ass, holding off then entire Imagin army whilst Zeronos & Death Imagin go at it. The evil Imagin is too much for our hero though, and makes one final slice right at Zeronos' neck...
Meanwhile, Kai once more opens up the fabric of time-space!
TO BE CONTINUED...
If we learned one thing this episode, it was this:
God, what didn't we learn!?
Next time you rewatch Den-O:
Count the number of times Ryôtarô is literally beside himself.
NEXT TIME: The final battle. Ryôtarô asks for Momotaros' wish.
There was also a Kiva promo, but it's mostly what we've seen before.
