Finale Fall Out

With Kamen Rider Decade's controversial finale having just ended, I'll be working away on my thoughts of the final two episodes and the then the series in full later today eventually.

In the mean time, I've put up a poll to see what you think. Did it deliver? Did it disappoint? Or are you just confused as hell? Vote now! Weekly polls will resume with the upcoming Kamen Rider W (Double).

  1. Considering the show had the opening credits (unlike all the other season finales), that alone was big hint that this episode wasn't going to be a "normal finale".

  3. I liked it! Inoue had talked some time ago in his blog about how Decade would continue after the show was over in some form, so not such a big surprise, but everyone's acting was top notch, especially Inoue.

  5. While I am disappointed that the finale ended like this, there's simply NO WAY they can finish the show off in 2 episodes. If my choice is to have a FINAL FINALE in a Dec movie, and to have a badly written/produced TV finale, I would rather go with the first one. Of course, Toei could have just made a couple more episodes and finish the show off on TV. No one force them to have 31 episodes only. But since this is the way how the TV series was delivered, I had no problem waiting a little longer to see the real ending -- it's just going to be a LLLLLLLLONG wait for those of us in oversea.

That said, does anyone have any insider info of how big the Dec movie will be? Now that the Rider War is a movie of its own, the chance of having more retuning actors is getting higher. Also, with 剣崎一真 and 紅渡 back in the TV finale, does it mean that the riders we saw in the end are the ones from the original series? Or are they just another alternative riders?

  6. Lol...we gotta wait for the movie to come out and I understand japanese a little but not enough to grasp the whole plot in the movie when I head back to japan to check it out. I might just wait for the subs to come out online but I'm looking forward to Kamen Rider Double. The main characters remind of the animes "Case Closed or Death Note". Super young detectives cliche.

  7. i really didnt understand the ending, and was really disappointed. When I reached the end of the episode, i thot wtf kivara?? and then it went to krdouble.
    wtf.x10.
so mad that they didnt make this longer, but i knew that from when they started previewing kr double.
    *sigh*
but i am confused, im hearing different rumors. i know the all kr vs daishocker is a movie, is the actual ending going to be a movie(thats the rumor i heard)?
i really hope that it is, cuz if not, then that means theyre crossing double and decade on the op episode of double.
thats NOT a great way to start, despite our needs.

  8. Leo, the actual ending will be in the upcoming December movie, NOT the All KR vs Dai Shocker movie. As far as I can tell, the December movie is a direct continuation of the TV finale. As for the Dai Shocker movie, I have a feeling that it's yet another AU -- the Dec movie has another Tsukasa!

  9. I really enjoyed Decade, and I went into the finale knowing that everything wasn't going to be resolved until the December movie, and I was okay with that. The cliffhanger changed that. There is no reason they couldn't have added 3 more episodes (or have skipped Amazon World) and put the conclusion into the series. It's extra frustrating knowing I probably won't get to see the movie until this time next year.

Oh well. Double looks pretty awesome, and I'll always have Super Sentai.
